Common Questions

Does the app work without a connection?

Yes. The entire season — every game, team and ballpark — is stored on your device, so the schedule is there in parking garages, stadium concourses and anywhere else the signal drops. A connection is only needed to pull down updates when the schedule changes.

How do I plan a trip?

Tap the heart on any game to add it to your Trip Planner. The Trip Planner tab then shows your games grouped by day, along with how many games and ballparks your trip covers and the dates it spans.

How do I turn on game-day reminders?

Open the Trip Planner tab and switch on “Game-day reminders.” You will be asked to allow notifications the first time. Reminders are scheduled on your device for the games in your trip and arrive the morning of each game. If they do not appear, check that notifications are enabled for the app in iOS Settings.

Why don’t I see distances to the ballparks?

Distances are off until you ask for them. On the Ballparks tab, tap “Show distances from me” and allow location access. The distance is calculated on your device and is never sent anywhere. If you previously denied access, that row will link you to iOS Settings so you can turn it back on.

How do I add a game to my calendar?

Tap a game to open its details, then tap “Add to Calendar.” The app asks only for permission to add events — it cannot read your existing calendar.

What if the schedule looks outdated?

Pull down on the Schedule tab to check for updates. The line at the bottom of the schedule tells you when the data was last confirmed current, or that the app is offline and showing saved data. If something still looks wrong, please contact us and include the game details.

Where is next season’s schedule?

Between seasons the app shows the completed schedule along with a note that the next season is on the way. The new schedule appears automatically as soon as the Cactus League publishes it — there is no app update to install.

Why do team, ticket and map links leave the app?

Team websites and ticket sales are hosted by the respective teams and venues, and directions are handled by Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze. Those open in the appropriate app or in your default browser.

Does the app collect my personal data?

No. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your favorites and settings stay on your device, and your location — if you choose to share it — is used on the device to measure distance and is never transmitted. You can review our full Privacy Policy below.

Troubleshooting

  • The schedule works offline. If it seems out of date, connect to the internet and pull down on the Schedule tab to refresh.
  • No ballpark distances? Allow location access from “Show distances from me” on the Ballparks tab, or enable it under Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.
  • No game-day reminders? Check that notifications are allowed for the app in Settings → Notifications, and that the reminders toggle is on in the Trip Planner.
  • Force-close and reopen the app if content does not load.
  • Ensure your device is running the latest version of iOS.
