Ron Santo

Ron Santo was a fixture in the Cactus League for decades. He played third base for the Chicago Cubs from 1960-1973, winning five Gold Gloves and making nine National League All-Star teams. In 1990, Santo returned to work with the Cubs as a radio broadcaster, bringing his passion for the team to millions of listeners and including broadcasts of Cactus League games in subsequent years. His boundless enthusiasm for the Cubs created a timeless connection with the team’s faithful followers, and Santo could often be seen signing autographs and posing for photos with fans during spring training. Santo was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2012.
